Chile has table grape vineyards spanning a distance of 500 miles from north to south enabling production availability in North America markets from the first week of December through last week of April.
Chilean growers represent an example of the highest level of viticultural expertise in the world today. That knowledge combined with extraordinary soils and climates have permitted them to become the premier source of southern hemisphere table grapes.
Peru started less than 20 years ago to export commercial volumes of table grapes. Of all table grape growing regions in the Americas, Peru’s volume is increasing at the fastest pace.
It is clear at this point that it will become a region of paramount importance as they develop larger volume supplies of new seedless varietals. Their harvest timing will permit more reliable supplies for the December January time period.
